Call me old-fashioned, but I think that beautiful soap can make a great gift - as long as the smell isn't horrendous and the packaging is cute. I love the look (and smell) of Brooklyn-based Meow Meow Tweet Tweet soaps. They're made from organic oils and butters and whipped up in small batches. The soaps are then wrapped by hand in recycled paper that's been hand stamped. This is one of my favorites - grapefruit mint - but other unusual combos include fennel, orange and oats; cinnamon coffee and black tea honey. Shop online.­­
